How to Remove Available Demographic Questions from Your Survey

For most Benchworks national surveys, you can remove certain standard demographic questions during survey setup. Depending on the survey, these may include questions about age, race, gender, and sexual orientation. The available questions vary by survey.

You do not need to submit a customization request to remove questions available through this task. You can request to remove additional survey questions by contacting Benchworks Support.

How to Remove Demographic Questions

From the My Account landing page, locate the order you want to update and click Task List.

1. Open Manage Survey.

2. Under Optional Tasks, select Remove Survey Questions.

3. Review the questions available for removal.

4. Select the checkbox next to each question you want to remove.

5. Click Save Changes.

After saving, preview your survey to confirm that the correct questions were removed and that the survey appears as expected.

Removed questions will not appear to respondents, and your institution will not receive data for those questions.

Questions Not Listed for Removal

If a question is not listed under Remove Survey Questions, it cannot be removed through survey setup.
