By using the Generate Survey Link feature (Anonymous or Open link), there is no longer a requirement to send participants individual links for survey completion. Instead, a single generic link can be sent out, streamlining the process.
It is essential to note that your institution holds the responsibility for promoting the survey when utilizing this method. Institutions typically make the survey link accessible to participants through various channels, such as displaying it on their website, sending it via email, or creating a QR code to distribute.
Generate Single Survey Link
Previously, you would have to contact support to request a single link that you would send to your participants. This was previously called an “Anonymous or Open Link”. Now, you can use our "Generate Survey Link" feature to create your own single link.
Click "Switch to send invites on my own".
Choose one of the radio buttons under "Who can respond?"
- Anyone: Allows anyone with the link to respond. The survey will ask the participants to enter their name and email.
- My List of Participants: Requires participants to provide their email address that was uploaded. This will only allow participants that were uploaded in your list to access the survey.
Then click "Generate Link".
Your link will appear at the bottom of the page. Copy it out and save it to send to your participants.
This is what the participant sees upon clicking the link.
If a participant leaves the survey then clicks the link again. This is what they will see. They can click "Click here to send an email to this address to continue your survey" to continue where they left off.
PLEASE NOTE: If you want to upload a list AND use a single link, you must contact support. While some tasks on the Manage Survey screen may not be necessary, there are still a few that must be completed.
Task List Instructions:
• You need to enter an invitation email in case you need to resend it to a single participant. However, you have the option to disable all reminders.
• Enter Institution Specific Questions as well as the Unit level or Population coding (if ordered)
• Approve the Welcome/Consent page
• Click the continue button on the Review Email Deliverability page even though you will be responsible for sending out the survey link
• Click on the Modify dates link to change the launch and end dates
• Complete the Approve/Modify Welcome/Consent Page
Once you have finished all necessary tasks, contact our support team to obtain your survey link. To keep track of student completion, you can request that support requires their name and email to be collected during the survey. This feature enables you to reward students who complete the survey and track completion.
Please be aware that if you opt to use specific links along with the Generate Survey link, only the initial invite will be sent out, and not subsequent reminders. If you wish to send reminders after using the Generate Survey Link, you can utilize the "Send additional reminder" feature, which sends reminders in real-time instead of scheduling them.
