Confidential Consent and Anonymous Consent Statements
This article will help you decide between Confidential Consent and Anonymous Consent.
Each survey participant is required to check a box agreeing to our consent statement before taking the survey. Our default consent statement specifies that participant responses are anonymous. As a result, we are unable to release data for groups with fewer than six participants. This minimum threshold helps protect individual identities by preventing responses from being linked to specific individuals within small groups.
As an alternative, we can use a confidential consent statement to indicate that responses are confidential rather than anonymous. With this adjustment, we would be able to share data even when fewer than six participants are represented.
To move forward, we need your approval to use the revised confidential consent language. Please contact support to confirm your agreement, and we will make the update accordingly.
